Yvonne, it is lovely. Your granddaughter will love it. Hugs Lynn
I LOVE this! :) You did an AMAZING job! You got EVERYTHING working together so nicely!!! Just out of curiousity What material did you use to make the pencil case AND is the case easy to make? Thanks ! Kathy
Thanks Kathy. I used denium fabric. Yes it is easy to make. Used a 35cm zipper. Cut 2 pieces of fabric and place the zip in first with the lining, I make them nice and large, it is 17cm long and 30cm wide, dont forget to add on a bit for the seams . Then you do the embroidery just on your main fabric and then sew it up.
Hope this helps you
Hugs Yvonne
Hi Yvonne! I'm about half way through two pencil cases. My two little girls need to have one each,he he. The thing that took the longest was deciding what to put on there! LOL. I interfaced both sides to give extra body too, I did use some old rubber backed curtain material as that was the stiffest I had. But I have to say I'm pretty happy how it's turning out so far. I will show you when I'm done.
It all takes time as my eldest is still on school break and will start year one when she starts for 2011, and she and my three year old LOVE doing craft stuff so a lot of the things we do I need to be there with them. Have a good day.
Kathy
I've finished them! :) Don't know if I'm game enough to post in projects! He he. I After taking a photo and if I become game enough I might. Either way Yvonne THANK YOU VERY much for you help. Cheers. Kathy
hello Yvonne, just posted my two pencil cases. I was a bit hesitant because they are not perfect, but I did it anyway1 The first is a Baby Pooh and Baby Tigger for my 3 1/2 yr old daughter and the second has Tinkerbell for my 5 1/2 yr old daughter. You have given me a bit of confidence to show my work. Thanks!
Yvonne, your pencil bag is adorable. I am sure every girl at your Gd's will be wanting one. Fantastic job.
